From Kahului, head toward Paia and go left on “Alakapa” street. This is next to the “Kaunoa Senior Center.” At the end of Alakapa, turn left. This is Laulea Place. Follow Laulea place around the bend and you will find the bamboo gate marked Coconut Cove. Once inside the property, the Beach House is the first house on the beach side. Surfside is the second house on the beach side. Paia Wing is at the far side of the long house in the back.

The Grounds:



Laulea place is a permitted vacation rental in a residential neighborhood and tenants will be renting for their use only. We are interested in the optimum experience for all, including our neighbors, and therefore do not allow guest sailors, large parties or photo shoots.

The tenants will not let or sublet. Occupancy is no more than 2 persons per bedroom. Surfside: 4 adults, 1 child. Paia wing: 4 people. Beach House: 4 people.

The tenant’s invitees are to be permitted on the premises in accompaniment with the tenant only. Tenants will park in designated area and not on lawn areas or in driveways blocking others. After two cars per your unit, all others park outside the gate.

The tenants agree not to violate any law or ordinance of the State of Hawaii. Tenant will not hold owners responsible for loss or thefts. When off the premises the tenant is required to lock up the rental unit. It is recommended that valuables be locked in safes for additional security. The tenants will not hold the owners, Severson, et al., liable for injury to tenant or any tenant invitee.

Tenant acknowledges that no lifeguard service is available on Spreckelsville beaches, and caution and respect for Hawaiian waves, water, and reefs must be exercised at all times. Use of public shoreline and ocean areas is solely up to the discretion of tenant and tenant invitees.

No pets allowed.

Tenant agrees to maintain a peaceful occupancy and not disturb others and their enjoyment of the facilities. No large parties, receptions, weddings, commercial use, windsurf/kitesurf promos, photo shoots, etc.

Tenant agrees to keep the premises in a clean and sanitary condition, to exercise care regarding all furnishings and household items, and to make no improvements or alterations. Any excessive cleaning bills shall be deducted from deposit or billed through agent.

No smoking inside the premises.

It is necessary that everyone observe the 3PM check-in and 11AM check-out times, so that we may clean the units and grounds.

No refunds for cancellations from 60 days prior to check-in; but we will make every effort to re-rent with credit to renter.

Please leave the gate opener in the unit or there will be a $175 replacement charge.

It is necessary to have the gate code to enter the property and retrieve your keys from the lock box on the entry door of your unit. Your agent will give you the code, or the Seversons will if you are booking directly.

Any flagrant violations may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement and forfeiture of all monies, deposit and rental.
